In New York Town, we have seen a recently available trend of processing properly prepared and filed cases in a timely manner. In fact, our recent experience indicates cases being scheduled for interviews in as little as approximately 3. 5 months in the date the application may be received by USCIS.

We could a better idea of just how quickly some cases are processed in New york city, we have provided to real case examples our firm recently handled for clients residing in New york city. Please keep in mind that both cases were prepared and filed as a result of an immigration attorney highly familiar with family based immigration law matters.

The applications submitted in such cases were the following: Immigrant Case, Change of Status, Job Authorization, and Advance Parole. Both newlyweds were residing in New york city and the New York City USCIS office oversaw the adjudication of both applications. The biometrics appointments with regard to both cases were directed at 201 Varick Street and the interviews for both circumstances were conducted at 26 Federal Plaza.

Case One

  • May well 26, 2011: All apps sent via Federal Express for overnight delivery to USCIS

  • July 1, 2011: Receipts issued by USCIS for many applications

  • June 4, this year: Notice issued by USCIS providing the place, day, and time for the biometrics appointment

  • June 22, this year: Biometrics appointment

  • June 26, 2011: Work Authorization authorised

  • July 6, 2009: Advance Parole approval okayed

  • August 5, this year: Notice for Interview Request issued providing the spot, date, and time with regard to interview

  • September 9, 2009: Interview for adjustment with status (stamp placed in passport)

  • Sept 9, 2009: Permanent residency authorized

  • Green Card received inside mail within 2-4 weeks

Example Two

  • This summer 22, 2011: All software programs sent via Federal Exhibit for overnight delivery to help USCIS

  • July 28, 2011: Receipts issued by USCIS for all applications

  • This summer 30, 2011: Notice issued by USCIS providing the spot, date, and time for the biometrics appointment

  • June 26, 2011: Biometrics appointment

  • September 3, 2011: Work Authorization approved

  • September 16, 2009: Advance Parole acceptance approved

  • Sept 24, this year: Notice for Interview Request issued providing the place, day, and time with regard to interview

  • November 27, 2009: Interview for adjustment of status (stamp positioned in passport)

  • November 27, this year: Permanent residency approved

  • Green Card received in the mail within 2-4 weeks

Please take into account that both of these cases were fully prepared and filed by an expert immigration attorney. Regardless to your situation, competent legal counsel is important through all parts of the green card through relationship application process and therefore it is strongly advised that you help an attorney experienced with these matters before advancing. A green card can be a highly sought after U. S. immigration benefit and something that should be pursued with great care.

A $5000 wedding? How can that possibly be executed? How do I invest less, still enjoy the fun and have a thrilling time with my guests. You can even choose the Empire State Building.

Once you have decided on the locale, the next step can be to get a marriage permit. It's fairly easy since you can receive the license and sign it in the presence of the town or town clerk.

You simply need to call the USCIS and ASK them if you want arccuate info. They may say you need a travel Letter which is a document they give you so you can travel if not in possession of a current green card. You obviously know how to contact them so do that.
